The European Council Directive 98/8/EC and regulations define the placing of biocidal products on the market within the European Union. The European Commission has decided to restrict the active substance PHMG on the market.

Due to this decision, during 2012 the disinfectant products of Oy Soft Protector Ltd. with active substance PHMG will be replaced in EU with products utilizing another Polyguanidine, PHMB.

Oy Soft Protector Ltd. will make necessary changes regarding product labelling and all products can be used normally until the expiration date indicated on the packaging. These changes do not affect products marketed outside the European Union.
